Shillong: The Eastern Air Command celebrated the 91st anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF) with a variety of formal and social events at its headquarters here in Meghalaya on Sunday.
On the occasion of Air Force Day, IAF personnel re-iterate their pledge to serve the nation with patriotism and professionalism following all tenets of military ethos.
In the run up to the Air Force Day, all the units under Eastern Air Command celebrated the 91st anniversary of the IAF with a variety of formal and social events.
Remembering all the Brave Hearts who made the Supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, Air Marshal SP Dharkar, Air Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Air Command paid tributes by laying a wreath at the War Memorial at Head Quarters EAC in Shillong .
Dharkar also conveyed greetings and best wishes to all personnel and their families of Eastern Air Command and exhorted them to continue working towards taking Indian Air Force and the Nation to greater heights and glory.
