Aizawl : The Assam Rifles along with Mizoram’s Excise and Narcotics department has arrested two drugs peddlers and recovered over 4 kg of Methamphetamine tablets worth around Rs 12.12 crore, an official said on Sunday.
The arrested persons have identified themselves as Altab Uddin (32) and Anam Uddin (32) both from Assam’s Karimganj.
“A total of 40400 tablets weighing 4.04 Kg worth Rs 12.12 Crore was seized from Zote area under Champhai district,” an official said.
An amount of Rs. one lakh was also recovered from their possession, they said.
The arrested persons have been booked under NDPS, Act.
