Guwahati : Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime inister Narendra Modi at Parliament House in New Delhi on Monday and discussed several issues with him.
Sarma also gifted Prime Minister Modi an Eri Chadar as a gift.
In the course of the interactions, the Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the ongoing pro-people programmes and invited him to inaugurate a slew of projects in Assam.
The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to seek the Prime Minister’s counsel on organising the Assam Business Summit in 2024.
“Our aim is to establish it (Assam Business Summit) as a platform to attract the private investments and accelerate our economic growth,” Sarma wrote on X.
Sarma also extended invitation to prime minister to lay the foundation stone of the Kamakhya Corridor project, dedicate the grand statue of Bir Lachit in Jorhat, inaugurate Tinsukia Medical College and lay the foundation stone of Sivasagar Medical College.
