Fat Belly opens 10th restaurant near Rani Gate in Guwahati, expands its North Indian Wing Nanihaal

Fat Belly opens 10th restaurant near Rani Gate in Guwahati.

Guwahati: Guwahati’s favourite oriental cuisine restaurant, ‘Fat Belly’ is celebrating the opening of its 10th restaurant along with the third outlet of ‘Nanihaal’, a North Indian cuisine and ethnic Assamese Thali specialty from the same startup.

The new restaurant, located near Rani Gate on NH 37, opposite Decathlon, is the 10th outlet of the popular Fat Belly group which has presence in Jorhat and Tinsukia, besides being present across multiple locations in Guwahati.

At Fat Belly, Rani Gate, the startup has introduced a wide range of mocktails, shakes and desserts for the customers besides making available delicious pan-Asian cuisine to the people of the region. Fat Belly aims to serve the people near the airport and Rani Gate area who since long have been asking them for easier access as they till now had to travel to Fat Belly and Nanihaal Jalukbari.

The new outlet, opposite Decathlon on the National Highway, will work as a food court where Asian cuisine from Fat Belly – along with their signature momos – and North India along with ethnic Assamese thali from Nanihaal will be served to the guests. It was inaugurated by Dr. Arup Kumar Misra, Chairman, Pollution Control Board Assam who was former Head of Training & Placement at Assam Engineering College (AEC).

Speaking about the unique offering, partners Parixit Bhattacharjee, Dhiraj Kumar Deka, Ankur Chandra Boro and Navonil Goswami, exuded confidence that the people living in the area and the travelers will enjoy having a wide range of lip-smacking food and share the love which they have been since the early days of the startup – born near the banks of Dighalipukhuri. Interestingly, all the partners at Fat Belly Rani Gate are engineer-turned entrepreneurs with their alma mater being Assam Engineering College (AEC).

With their exclusive offering of over 100 varieties of momos, Fat Belly since 2017 has grown from strength to strength. The restaurant group – with Parixit Bhattacharjee, Dhiraj Kumar Deka and Manjita Kalita Chowdhury as partners – has been loved by the people of the region for their consistent taste, widespread variety, and a great culinary experience since its inception. The restaurant now has branches in Rani Gate, Dighalipukhuri, Uzan Bazar, Chandmari Commerce College Point, Beltola, Jalukbari, Lal Ganesh, Azara, Jorhat and Tinsukia.

Nanihaal, a North Indian offering from the same group, also operates within the premises of Fat Belly Jalukbari and Fat Belly Azara.
