Guwahati : A 27-year-old man succumbed to his bullet injuries after being shot at allegedly by unidentified miscreants in Assam’s Kamrup Metro district, police said on Friday.
The incident took place near Metro hospital located at Khanapara area on Thursday night when unidentified miscreants fired at Anjan Nath miscreants while he was riding on a two-wheeler at Koinadhora area.
The unidentified assailants, who reportedly arrived on a scooter, fled the scene.
Nath was reportedly employed at a commercial vehicle dealership.
The victim was immediately rushed to Metro hospital in a critical condition and later succumbed to his bullet wounds.
A police official said that the investigation into the incident is on.
Assam Director General of Police GP Singh along with Guwahati Commissioner of Police Diganta Barah had reached the spot to take stock of the situation on Thursday night.
