Meghalaya government activates helpline for its citizens in Sikkim

 

 Shillong: The Meghalaya government has activated the helpline number 1800-345-3644 for citizens of Meghalaya who may require assistance after a glacial lake outburst caused major floods in Sikkim.

Students and citizens of Meghalaya can call the helpline number 1800-345-3644 for assistance they may need related to the above mentioned calamity.

Further, in case of emergency students can contact the following officers Additional Director of Higher and Technical Education A.Ali at 98630 63305 and Deputy Director Higher and Technical Education at 7005037347

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday took his micro-blogging site X noting: “Meghalaya students studying in Sikkim have contacted me for support to return back home due to the current situation there. Government of Meghalaya is coordinating with these students to give them all the support ..”
