Aizawl: Mizoram Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Sunday led the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan in a cleanliness drive in the capital city.
Joining the nationwide cleanliness drive on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, the Governor himself took the broom and swept the streets that stretched between Raj Bhavan and the Old MLA Hostel.
To support the activities under the Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2023, Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati wanted to set an example on cleanliness in Mizoram.
Urging that every citizen of India should realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘garbage-free India’ vision, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati said the campaign will herald a new era of cleanliness in India.
The Governor urged every resident of the state to contribute to ensure cleanliness in his/her surroundings.
